Talent Hub and sourcing

Your own pool, consent, prospects and sourcing runs.

Talent Hub

Talent Hub is the pool of people you can hire from:

  • Your Talent Hub: people who applied to your Jobs.
  • The Invyte Network: people shared across Invyte. Their source is never shown.

Browse it with talent.list, search it with talent.search, and get ranked matches for a Job with talent.matchesForJob. A Talent Hub person's interviews and assessments are visible to recruiters (talent.evidence).

Adding someone from Talent Hub to a Job respects their choice:

  • People who said yes to all are added to the Job at once.
  • People who asked to be asked each time get a request for that Job and join only if they accept.
  • People who aren't Invyte members get an invitation to join, never a request.

Preview what an add will do before you make it (pipeline.previewAdd), then add (pipeline.addPerson).

Prospects and sourcing

A prospect is someone found before they apply; they become a candidate when they apply. Sourcing finds prospects for a Job across your Talent Hub, the Invyte Network and external discovery partners.

  • Start a run with sourcing.start and watch it with sourcing.getRun / sourcing.listRuns.
  • Read the results with sourcing.listProspects.
  • Invite a prospect to apply with sourcing.invite.

External discovery is a paid operation.

Operations in this area

OperationWhat it doesEffect
sourcing.start
MCP sourcing_start
Start a sourcing run
Search external discovery partners for people who fit an open, published Job; nobody is contacted. Paid: one partner search for up to 50 people, counted against the Job's and organization's daily sourcing budget, so it shows what it draws on and waits for your go-ahead before it starts. External discovery must be on for the Job; with turnOn, the same go-ahead turns it on with those settings first.

MCP talent_list
Browse Talent Hub
Browse Talent Hub: Your Talent Hub (people who applied to your organization's Jobs) or the Invyte Network. Filter by name, title or company, location, skills, evidence, account and identity check, or read specific people by key. Cards never include contact details.

talent.matchesForJob
MCP talent_matchesForJob
Talent Hub matches for a Job
The people in Your Talent Hub and the Invyte Network who best fit a Job, best first, with why they rank there and any UMatch judgement that still stands. Free: it ranks, it never judges.

sourcing.listRuns
MCP sourcing_listRuns
List sourcing runs
A Job's External discovery runs, newest first, with how many people each found: 20 a page by default, older ones through `nextCursor`.
Read
sourcing.getRun
MCP sourcing_getRun
View a sourcing run
One External discovery run of a Job and the people it found: where they work, how well they matched, and whether they were invited or applied.

sourcing.listProspects
MCP sourcing_listProspects
List a Job's prospects
Everyone a Job's sourcing found, across runs, and everyone added to it from Talent Hub (their `sourcingRunId` is null), newest first: where they work, how well they matched, and whether they were invited or applied. Each `id` is what `sourcing.setProspectStatus` takes, and each `personKey` what Talent Hub reads take.

sourcing.invite
MCP sourcing_invite
Invite a prospect to apply
Email a Sourcing prospect for this Job an invitation to apply. They apply like anyone else; nothing is shared or created until they do.

sourcing.saveSettings
MCP sourcing_saveSettings
Save a Job's External discovery settings
Set what External discovery partners look for on a Job (up to five criteria, each required or nice to have) and which contact details they look up, and turn External discovery on. Saving starts no search now: on a published Job start one with sourcing.start; on a draft Job, publishing it (jobs.publish) starts one paid search within the daily sourcing budget. Other channels keep their setting.

sourcing.cancelRun
MCP sourcing_cancelRun
Stop a sourcing run
Ask a running External discovery search to stop. People it already found stay; a stopped run cannot resume, but a new one can start.
Write
sourcing.refreshRun
MCP sourcing_refreshRun
Refresh a sourcing run
Check a running External discovery search with the partner now instead of at its next scheduled check, as Refresh on the Sourcing tab does. A finished run is returned as it is.
Write
sourcing.setProspectStatus
MCP sourcing_setProspectStatus
Change a prospect's status
Move a person sourcing found for a Job to another status (prospect, outreach sent, invite sent, engaged, closed with a reason), with an optional note. Nobody is contacted.
Write
sourcing.setChannel
MCP sourcing_setChannel
Turn a Talent Hub channel on or off for a Job
Turn Your Talent Hub (your organization's own applicants) or the Invyte Network on or off as a source of matches for a Job. Ranking matches is free; nobody is contacted. Changes nothing else.
Write
sourcing.checkTopMatches
MCP sourcing_checkTopMatches
Check top matches with UMatch
UMatch reads every résumé in a Job's Talent Hub matches not yet checked, closest first, against the Job's requirements, as the Sourcing tab's "Check with UMatch" does. Each new person uses one of the Job's daily UMatch checks and the check stops when they run out; people already checked are free. The result counts the people queued for UMatch apart from those already judged (none yet when it answers); judgements land in talent.matchesForJob as they finish.

contacts.findEmail
MCP contacts_findEmail
Find email
Look up an email for one person sourcing or the Invyte Network found, so they can be invited to a Job, as Find email does. Addresses already on file are free; otherwise it uses one of your organization's daily contact lookups (a paid credit when it finds an email) and finishes within a minute: ask again then, free, to learn whether it found one (on_file) or not (not_found). The address is never shown; invite them with sourcing.invite.

talent.evidence
MCP talent_evidence
A Talent Hub person's interviews and assessments
Every completed interview and AI Fluency assessment of one Talent Hub person, newest first, with score, summary and ratings, and whether a transcript or recording can be opened (each round's runId opens them). AI clients and agents get Invyte Network people as anonymous cards: scores and rating labels only, with no overview, summaries or rating feedback.
